What happened

On July 18 and 19, a virus definition update by CrowdStrike, the cloud-based cybersecurity platform, triggered a global outage. The impact was felt across:

  • Windows servers and laptops
  • Connected Payments Gateway

Our response

Our monitoring system alerted us, and we took immediate action. The NCR Voyix team worked on this issue starting at 1:30 a.m. EST. Although the Connected Payments Gateway was affected, the timing of the incident and offline processing helped mitigate the impact.

Starting at 6:03 a.m. EST, the Connect Payment gateway was restored, and transactions resumed their regular processing.

What’s next

We’ve successfully restored services and will continue to closely monitor batch processing. We appreciate your patience and understanding, recognizing the critical role our services play in your operations.
