Trends and topics for 2025: Our highlights from this year’s National Restaurant Association Show

After traveling to Chicago last month for this year’s National Restaurant Association’s 2025 Restaurant Show, our team is back in the office and already at work supporting our restaurant customers as they make progress toward achieving their goals in the second half of the year. There’s a lot of buzz around the events and exhibits at this year’s show; if you couldn’t make it (or if you were and are already ready for a recap!), here are a few exciting highlights.  

  • Gathering together with restaurant industry professionals: This year’s show included over 53,000 food service professionals, representing 110 countries. NCR Voyix was one of over 2,300 exhibitors from 44 countries, bringing a global perspective to the exhibition hall.
  • Making connections at the NCR Voyix booth: Thank you to everyone who visited our booth in the exhibit hall for a demo, a chat, or a frozen treat. We loved hearing from happy customers and sharing more about our solutions, including Aloha Consumer Marketing, with prospects.   • Exploring emerging trends: From sponsoring a featured session on success in the restaurant industry with Technomic to exploring the show floor, the team at NCR Voyix took advantage of the show as an opportunity to do a valuable pulse-check on the restaurant industry.  
  • Celebrating the future of the restaurant industry with Carla Hall: Food Network star and restaurateur Chef Carla Hall delivered an exciting keynote, sponsored by NCR Voyix, discussing her career trajectory and the emerging trends and challenges for the restaurant industry as a whole. Carla was introduced by Lindsay Petrovic, CVP of Restaurants Product Management, who shared the NCR Voyix story onstage with almost 1200 attendees over two sessions. On the topic of recent and imminent changes to the restaurant industry, Carla reminded restauranteurs that it’s all about connection.  “Engage with followers and ask what they want,” she recommended. “Think about it being a conversation.”
